A book stop tour for book lovers

On April 7 to 8, 2017, the National Book Development Board (NBDB) will once again hold the Pinoy Book Stop Tour featuring independent and campus-based bookstores within and south of Metro Manila. In addition to these stops, community and university libraries will also be part of the itinerary this year.

Each book stop will host activities, such as book talks, poetry readings, and music performances, to further promote local books and excellent titles, particularly the recent winners of the National Book Awards and the National Children’s Book Awards.

The Pinoy Book Stop Tour is part of the activities of the National Literature Month or Buwan ng Panitikan. The NBDB, together with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), has been promoting Philippine literature, supporting the growth of independent book stores, and encouraging reading of excellent Filipino-authored books since declaring April as National Literature Month in 2015.
