Textbook content creators and publishers are invited to attend the Academic Book Seminar at the 38th Manila International Book Fair. The seminar will be held on September 14, 2017, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Meeting Rooms 8 and 9 at the SMX Convention Center.
This seminar is organized for textbook writers, editors, illustrators, designers and publishers of academic books, specifically K-12 textbooks.
In the first talk, Curriculum Development expert Greg Tabios Pawilen will share his experience and knowledge on developing models for curriculum standards and on how textbooks can become more effective tools for learning.
In the next talk, Joy Tan, General Manager of Marshall Cavendish Education will share her company’s practices and approaches in making Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Math (STEAM) learning materials. Her talk will focus on manuscript development, editorial, and project management. Marshall Cavendish Education is the leading provider of K-12 learning materials in Singapore.

The Academic Book Seminar is organized by the National Book Development Board (NBDB), in partnership with the Book Development Association of the Philippines (BDAP).
The event is free of charge, but pre-registration is required.
