ADMU to host a lecture series on Filipino historian's life and works
On May 9, 2016, the Ateneo de Manila University School of Humanities is spearheading various activities to commemorate the birth of Fr. Horacio de la Costa, S.J., an eminent Filipino historian, a passionate defender of the humanities, the first Filipino Jesuit provincial, an intellectual giant and a true man of faith. These three events cover the Exhibit on Fr. De la Costa, curated by Fr. Rene Javellana in the Rizal Library, a lecture series, and a Pastiche featuring the works of the young De la Costa.
A commemorative lecture series on the life and works of Fr. De la Costa, vagaries of intellectual life in Southeast Asia, poetry, and notion of hybridity will be presented from February to May 2016. Everyone is invited to join the lecture series at Faura Hall Audio Visual Room, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights. Kindly contact 426-6001 loc. 5340-5341 or email [email protected] for reservations or for inquiries.
