For the whole month of April, the National Book Development Board (NBDB) will hold the event Book Fiesta to celebrate the National Literature Month (NLM), World Book and Copyright Day (WBCD), and Filipino Food Month (FFM). Book Fiesta is a celebration of books and reading through online activities, steering away from the usual one-day event and gathering.
The different online activities include fast facts and contests open to the public. We believe that online events such as these can engage more people as it can be accessed by anyone from any place in the country. We also want to maximize the reach of social media and the youth’s interest in the arts through these online activities. At the end of Book Fiesta, participants are expected to be more curious and interested in reading and to be more aware of the different books available in the local and global market.

ACTIVITIES

The Book Fiesta poster with the announcement of all online activities will be released on March 27, 2020 in conjunction with the opening of the National Literature Month (NLM).
