and libraries that were severely damaged by super typhoon Yolanda last year, NBDB in partnership
with the Library Hub of the Department of Education will donate books to Leyte Library HUB. Book
donations are from different publishers in the Philippines such as Adarna House Inc., Anvil Publishing,
Inc., Cultural Publisher, Batobalani Foundation Inc., Philippine Bible Society, Phoenix Educational
Service Inc., Phoenix Publishing House, Inc., Rex Bookstore, SD Publications, Inc., SIBS Publishing
House, Inc., Souvenir Publications, Inc., St. Mary’s Publishing Corp. and Visprint, Inc.

Participants of the Booklatan are students, librarians and supervisors of different schools and libraries
in Leyte. Different seminars will be conducted during the program including risk management discussion
for librarians, symposium on developing a reading campaign for the community, and other workshops
and presentations regarding effective writing process.

NBDB promises to continue reaching Filipinos across the country not only to promote readership but
