The National Book Development Board (NBDB) and the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) encourage children’s book publishers and/or illustrators to send entries for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition.
The Illustrators Exhibition started in 1967, which is a showcase of the latest trends in illustration and talent spotting new artists. The Exhibition is an opportunity for Philippine publishers and artists to showcase their work in the international arena. Selected artworks will be published in the Illustrators Annual: a large catalogue for publishers and professionals from all over the world. After the Fair on April 1-4, 2019, the Exhibition travels for over two years during a long international tour in museums, art galleries and important libraries in Japan, China and in other different countries every year.
