Call for NCBA Kid Judges

The National Book Development Board (NBDB) and the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) will hold the awarding ceremony of the 4th National Children’s Book Awards (NCBA) on July 19, 2016. The NCBA aims to recognize the country’s best published books for children and young adults in the past two years.

This year the NCBA will have a committee of kid judges who will choose the best story book. The committee is composed of ten (10) kids divided into two groups: group 1, five (5) kids ages 11 – 14 and group 2, five (5) kids ages 7 – 10.

NBDB is looking for five (5) book enthusiasts 11 – 14 years of age to join group 1.

A token of appreciation will be given to him/her for helping us choose the recipient of the award and will be invited to the NCBA awarding ceremony.

Parents willing to allow their child to attend the following:
1. Orientation and turnover of books for review shall take place at NBDB office located at Unit 2401 Prestige Tower, F. Ortigas, Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City on April 21, 2016 (Thursday); and
2. Deliberation at NBDB office on May 5, 2016 (Thursday),

are invited to submit the following details of their child:
a) Name;
b) Age;
c) School; and
d) Hobbies
