Call for Speakers | National Book Development Board

The “Booklatan sa Bayan” is a major program of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) that aims to renew public interest in reading, encourage the development of original content, and support library systems/centers and other points of book access. Implemented in partnership with government agencies and the private sector, it offers capacity-building services to industry stakeholders through the conduct of training workshops, storytelling sessions, and book fairs, among others.

To ensure the success of the program through effective selection of experts/facilitators, the NBDB is opening the Call for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the following Booklatan sa Bayan Webinar Workshops:

• Webinar Workshop on Storytelling
February – March 2021
Application deadline: February 08, 2020

• Webinar Workshop on Writing Children’s Stories
Focus: Nutrition, March 2021
Application deadline: February 15, 2020

• Webinar Workshop on Writing Children’s Stories
Focus: Environmental Stewardship, April 2021
Application deadline: February 22, 2020

The details of SMEs to be engaged for each Booklatan sa Bayan event—including the minimum qualifications, documents to be submitted, and Terms of Reference (TOR)—can be accessed through this link: (1) Webinar Workshop on Storytelling and (2) Webinar Workshop on Writing Children’s Stories.

Interested individuals are advised to send applications and documentary requirements through this link: not later than 5:00 PM of the deadline indicated.

The Field Monitoring, Education and Training Division (FMETD) of the NBDB shall review all documents received and notify successful candidate within five (5) working days after the deadline of submission. The SME shall be paid a professional fee commensurate to his/her level of competency and expertise.
