Speaker: Kristian Sendon Cordero
Kristian Sendon Cordero’s discussion will highlight the work of translation as an integral part in writing literary histories. He will talk about how a translated work of a Filipino writer as a Translator is not something that is done for the sake of either the source language or the target language. Rather, it must be done to reach its target audience/readers, hence emphasizing the importance of a regional lingua franca. The work of translation also stretches the limit of one’s language and challenges his imagination. Join and take part in his discussion to learn more about the work of a Translator. It may give way to continue and intensify cross-regional relations that it will lead to more books and artistic collaborations among the region!
