The National Book Development Board (NBDB) is a government agency created under Republic Act 8047 or the Book Publishing Industry Development Act and is mandated to formulate, adopt and implement the National Book Policy and the National Book Development Plan. Invitation is now open for dedicated and competent applicants for the following positions:

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education : Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the job

Training : 16 hours of relevant training

Experience : 3 years of relevant experience

Eligibility : Career Service Professional/Second Level Eligibility

Basic Functions : Design, conduct, monitor and evaluate programs, researches and studies pertinent to the book publishing industry; develop, pre-test, administer and evaluate research instruments; prepare and compile report of researches and studies conducted pertinent to the book publishing industry; supervise the collection and tabulation of data on book publishing and related publishing processes; conduct surveys on available manpower and supporting skills like authors, editors, designers/illustrators, marketing personnel, printers, etc., conduct legislation affecting the book industry, both at national and international levels.

Training : 8 hours of relevant training

Experience : 2 years of relevant experience

Eligibility : Career Service Professional/Second Level Eligibility

Basic Functions : Supervise the regional and local implementation of the National Book Policy and the National Book Development Plan; gather research data and undertake monitoring tasks at the national and local levels; facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the NBDB within his/her area of responsibility; prepare and submit research and monitoring reports relative to the implementation of the National Book Policy and the National Book Development Plan.
