The National Book Development Board held its 2014 Mid-Year Assessment and Team Building on August 1 and 2, 2014 at Vista Venice Highlands Resorts in Morong, Bataan. The two events are aimed at fostering stronger relationship, improving effective team communication, and the continued professional development of the staff.

Among the activities done during the two-day workshop were an obstacle course, team experiential learning games and exercises on team work. NBDB got the chance to enjoy and try their hand at completing the obstacle challenges facilitated for them. It was a fun-filled experience for the NBDB staff to explore and learn something new about one another which will certainly help improve the work environment. Also, creative presentations were made by each division to discuss accomplishments and review which goals were effectively done so far this year.

NBDB Chair Flor Marie Sta. Romana Cruz hopes that these events have strengthened the inter-departmental coordination and efficiency throughout the organization and between employees.
