The National Book Development Board (NBDB) extends its support to the 2nd IP Youth camp held on September 24-26, 2014 at the Punta de Fabian Resort in Baras, Rizal. This program is administered by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) with the aim to involve young students in promoting the significance of intellectual property rights (IPRs) and to cultivate them in becoming the IP advocates in their respective schools.
Selected students from 7 schools were gathered on the event. Among the participating schools are Ateneo de Manila High School, Makati Science High School, Manila Science High School, Philippine Science High School, Taguig Science High School, Muntinlupa Science High School, PUP Laboratory High School, and UST High School.
To share with the students an inspiring message about the book industry, Deputy Executive Director Camille Dela Rosa gave a talk about Publishing value chain, General concerns in content creation, and Tips on how to support your favorite authors. An interactive conversation went on as the students actively participated in the spontaneous Q and A.
